i just recenly purchased this product, it does what it is claims. it easy to setup and use, no hassles or surprizes. recorded sound is decent. my only concerns are: it records at a very low volume (which was implied) and it only records for about 35 minutes and then stops recording. this short recording time limit is to short, you can not even record an entire album or cd. i find it disappointing in this aspect. otherwise, it is a decent tool.

Will not work with USB 3.0 devices. Use only USB 2.0 flash drives with less than 30 gb of storage for great results and about 230 hours of recording time.

I purchased this little gadget for a recording project. I needed to record some tracks onto a friends file and transfer it back onto an sd card, without mastering the songs. I was able to do it with this handy little device which took the wave file and transfered it into a mp3 file. The only negative is you can only use the remote to operate it and it seems to give off some back round clicks at times.

The one bad thing is pretty big. More than 90% of all tracks experience a problem, either a dropout or a jump during the recording which loses part of the track completely. What I’ve had to do is record each track twice, and in doing so, I usually can rely on the 2nd recording not to have the same problems as that of the first. Then I can edit the best of the two tracks together. I can edit out the dropouts, but the segments containing the jumps have to be replaced. It’s nice that it’s compact and can be stored away when not in use.

I am really into my music and I was using this to record some of my mixes. It does work, but the quality is just not up to par. I can’t be too critical because it is very inexpensive. After all, you get what you pay for.

Works Very Well

Purchased this MP3 recorder in 2020. Been using it as a backup for my serato recording. Works very good. The only thing is that you have to put the output to the mp3 source all the way up to get a good quality recording. Other than that it was a really good purchase. Great for a DJ to get your recording onto a portable flash drive.

Easy to use. The key to making this converter work is make sure the flash drive is formatted for FAT32. So before you order this make sure you know how to format the flash drive using your computer. Second, make sure you have a good power supply. I used an Apple phone charger that puts out about 2 amps, but I think the standard little Apple white cube chargers would work. Follow the steps in the directions and the converter will work fine. I missed plugging in one of the audio wires. Also, VERY IMPORTANT, to remove the flash drive from the converter after you stop recording, wait about 5 seconds, remove the power cable after the GREEN LED stops flashing, then remove flash drive, that is straight from the directions. I was able to open the flash drive on my Apple computer and change the names of the files. Read directions carefully. The English is kind of scattered, but not hard. Added bonus: there is an output jack to plug headphones or speakers into so you can listen to the recording as it progresses. I was recording cassettes to flash drive using a very high quality, but old, JVC cassette player. The MP3 files made by the converter were equal to the cassette itself. Have Fun.

I used this with a PNY 128GB Elite-X Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive – 200MB/sIt’s a fairly fast drive with low profile, and decent storage. There were higher & lower capacity options for that drive. The drive was pre-formatted for FAT-32, which is what this Digital Recorder requires, so I didn’t need to do anything with it except plug it in to the Recorder. That drive seemed to work fine with this device (although, perhaps it affected the sound quality, see below).I have the device audio-In plugged in to my laptop’s audio output, and the device audio-out connected to the audio-in on my headset. The device audio out is somewhat garbled in comparison to the quality of the audio input. This is true regardless if I’m recording or not. On some calls, where the source audio was already garbled, the final quality of the audio output from the device was bad enough that I couldn’t understand what was being said on the call, and so I had to remove the device from the audio circuit.I like the idea of the product and want to try to make it work. I might try to use an audio splitter so I can get the original audio routed to both my headset and the device directly.
