I liked how this kettle boils water all the goddam way to boiling point. All the way. The ENTIRE way to boiling, with no stops en route. It gets you and your water where you need to go. And that place is boiling point. Gets you there every time. It is NOT, and I cannot be explicit enough about this, it is not a kettlebell. It is a KETTLE. It will not shred your quads to a burn but it WILL boil your goddam water. Temperature control? Hell yeah. It controls the temperature all the way to boiling.

*2 year update*
After using this kettle daily, average 12 times a day, the lid no longer shuts. It looks like the closing device inside the lid no longer works. I still feel this is a great kettle, and has outlasted all my other models. Will buy again.

I have used countless electric kettles, and the ones I keep buying seem to always end up rusty or break. So this time I searched the interweb for as many reviews I could get. This one has always reviewed well. Money wasnt an issue for me, I just wanted a hard wearing kettle. This kettle is very light, and very fast compared to others I have owned. Also it looks really good since its mostly metal. So far its perfect, which means for me – light, fast, gets to a very high temperature, metal, well built, no rusting. Just look up the reviews online, it really is a good kettle.

This does the job: not the fastest but definitely there are so many others that are really slow compared to this one
So if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, this is perfect
I bought the red one and it looks very pretty on the kitchen counter
The only thing that bugs me a little bit is that it gets very hot on the outside so please be careful when touching it

Bought in October 2018, the kettle worked well enough for 6-7 months, then the latch on the lid broke–leaving it impossible to close after filling and while heating up and pouring–unsafe!!! Amazon refused to assist, saying that it was between Hamilton Beach and myself. HB then told me that I could get a replacement but, first, I had to send them a picture of the kettle with the power cord cut off–rendering it totally unusable, and then wait three weeks for a replacement to arrive–AND I needed to send them $10 to cover shipping costs.
So, yeah, the terrible service on top of the shoddy product makes it clear to me that I will skip past any future Hamilton Beach product recommendations. The Amazon ad features the “Five Year Warranty’ but this is a come-on for what turns out to be an example of a company that makes it completely unappealing for a customer to use the warranty that it has paid for. Terrible!

This gets tons of use in my office. It is the perfect piece if you want very hot water in a few short minutes. One should note that it doesn’t have a warmer, so if you are looking to keep your water warm, this isn’t the product for you. It heats the water when you need it. Plain and simple.
