I was bummed when I found out they no longer made my old food scale, but went by reviews to purchase this one. I was grumpy at first at the differences between this and the old scale, but have rapidly adapted, and now really love the bowl that comes with it. Makes it easy to tare, as it does it automatically with the bowl on top. And the bowl is perfect for putting a pound of meat, a handful of carrots, whatever. Also dishwasher safe. And the stainless makes it easy to leave on the counter. Glad I bought it!

I cook from scratch and prep all of my food. Every day. I perfect and document my recipes by weight and not volume. Grams. I have used a handful of scales over time and I like this one. I am not nominating it for world’s greatest scale or anything, but I find it to be dependable, convenient and about the right size for use and storage.
This particular purchase is my second of this particular model. I bought the first in December, 2020. I bought the second, a replacement, in May of 2022.
Pros:
I find this model to be accurate and largely trouble free. It is the right size: Large enough to be convenient in use, small enough to squirrel away in a drawer. Batteries last for a long time (although I am not a fan of discount batteries).
Okay, the cons/rants…
1. I don’t appreciate the auto-off function. Let’s explore this for a second. What is the purpose of the auto-off function? Is it to save battery life? Is this scale really pulling so much energy that you have to shut the thing down in two minutes??? While I am sidetracked or distracted with something else? Maybe I am prepping something while I am measuring. Maybe my phone rings in the middle of measuring flour. The scale should not run the kitchen!
Can we compromise? How about five minutes prior to shut down? How about a way to disable the auto-off function?
2. In a perfect world, a scale would last longer than… how long did my first scale last? 17 months? The first scale started becoming unreliable–not inaccurate–and was making me nervous. (Yes, I changed the batteries. LOL.)
— The unit button didn’t have the same feel over time, although I rarely used it in the first place because I almost always use grams. I speculate that, over time, ingredients found their way into the cracks of the button, but that is pure speculation. I am a borderline perfectionist and not a slob. A humble guy mislabeled as a curmudgeon because I dislike kitchen visitors who leave things in disarray. “Get out of my kitchen.” The problem is not a result of abuse.
— The unit settings started to change on its own, causing me to reset it to grams more than it did early in the product’s life.
— A couple of times, the scale shut off on its own, well before the two-minute cook’s deadline, in the middle of my measuring, causing me problems. This is what prompted me to replace the first scale. The last straw.
So, why would I buy the same product again? Well, you have to look at the factors involved, and I use the scale relentlessly, for everything related to meals. I weigh coffee beans for our coffee when I wake up. I keep using it, all the way until I, say, measure mayo, mustard, lemon juice and honey to make honey mustard dressing (the whole process takes less than a minute) as I wrap up dinner prep. And, yes, I use it to make the mayo, too. I even have a spare so that I don’t have an emergency situation. So, the thing got a lot of use.
Should I take the risk that someone else’s scale might be better??? Or should I go with the the devil you know, so to speak? Meh… I think this scale is at least four stars. And while I have listed some cons, I kinda like the thing. Moderate “everyday” use in a typical household should be worry free… just don’t leave that scale idle for two minutes!!! Grrr!!! LOL.

Super easy to use and read. I use this food to track my weight to get my swole on. Won’t stop until I have to turn sideways to walk through doors.

I’m a home baker and I need so accurate kitchen scale. I read the review and I thought it should be working for me but not! I returned it, you can see the reason in the video! The weight was changed automatically, so I cannot trust it!

I like knitting socks toe up and using all of the yarn and this made it so easy to get 2 equal sized balls. I rolled my skein into a ball and weighed it, divided the weight by 2, and then rolled my second ball from the end of the ball in the scale until there was half left. Voilà – two equal sized balls!

I use this scale at every meal everyday, to measure out various parts of my foods, as I have health issues that require me to insure relative precision in how much I eat of certain things. This scale replaces a trusty older Chinese brand that lasted for nearly ten years with the same rigorous daily usages. This new scale is much bigger and very easy to read. The scale is reasonably accurate, as I have an ancient set of medical grade weights for analyzing scale accuracy. The one I have does ‘float’ a bit on that last decimal place, sometimes slowly fluctuating by a tenth of a gram up and down, but that’s acceptable for my needs and purposes. As for professional applications, like weighing precious metals, this scale is obviously NOT intended for such (it’s a kitchen scale, recall.)
So, as long as you’re not seeking out professional grade accuracy, this is a good scale at a good price.
Recommended.

I have am forced to give this a low 2 star rating because in their not-so-infinite wisdom the company decided to make the 0.1g model and the 1g model look pretty much identical.
I ordered the 0.1g model and I got the 1g model, and I spent so long trying to figure out why it wouldn’t give me more accurate readings. Turns out they packaged the wrong model, and the only reason I realized this is I read the small inscription on the back with a slightly different model number.

I purchased this sale on my sisters’ recommendation as she herself owns one.
I am pleased with the purchase! It is very easy to use and very easy to read. So far I am happy with it. Hope that it lasts a very long time.

I use my kitchen scale multiple times per day for measuring cat food (they’re on a diet…), to measuring ingredients for cooking. I prefer to measure most of my ingredients straight into prep bowls or mixing bowls, its more accurate and saves time washing measuring cups.
I’ve gone through a handful of scales since I started measuring everything, most of them lasting 4-6 months. I believe the design is what causes the short lifespan on competing products. The included plastic bowl/plate cover does a great job of catching any liquids/solids spilled when dumping things onto the plate or bowl you’re putting ingredients into. This keeps them from going into the scale itself and inevitably breaking it.
Ive had this thing going with daily use for some time now, I’d estimate 6 months, and it’s showing no signs of slowing down on me.

I use this for everything. From making burgers equal sized to getting package weight before mailing items.
It had a good wide surface to hold large items yet is compact enough to slide out of the way when not in use.
Much more accurate than other digital scales I’ve used at a similar cost.
Very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend to others.
