America’s Test Kitchen recommended this pounder, and I needed one for making chicken cutlets. It works perfectly and is a cinch to clean. Most highly recommended.

I like how heavy the pounder is. Great heft and weight. Works pounding the steak or chicken as flat as I want it in record time.

Formerly, I used a hammer-style pounder, and with just a few moves, my wrist would be fatigued; a few more pounds, and the pain would start. This meat pounder keeps my wrist in a natural position and is comfortable to use. The large size of the disk prevents tearing the meat, no matter how thin I pound it. This was an America’s Test Kitchen #1 winner, and I heartily agree with their assessment.

This has a good grip. Also a flat surface , therefore it does not tear up the meat. Outstanding quality.

This is a really substantial meat tenderizer. The weight is evenly dispersed, makes quick work of tenderizing and flattening out thick cuts of meat and can also be used to crush nuts ect.

I love how easy this is to use. It’s the perfect weight and the handle is easy to hold on to. I use it to smash garlic and tenderize beef to flatten so I could make stuffed beef roll ups. It’s great for those thick chicken breasts that need to be thinned out for quicker cooking too. I’ll buy another when this one wears out years from now.

Sadly, arrived with minor damage.
Good weight, smooth surface, and a comfortable handle. I don’t think the dent will cause any issues, but it’s a shame that it happened somewhere along the way. It doesn’t sit perfectly flat – but I doubt I’ll be “precise” when smashing slabs of meat either.

I have used a lot of food hammers, and this one is the best. It’s the right weight and it’s broad base makes the job easier and more uniform. Good product!
