If you open and close the dial, and you know, shake salt from the salt SHAKER, the grains get on between the two pieces of the lid and jam it up. Mine happened to get jammed closed, rendering it completely useless

The size is just right so you don’t have to fill it up every couple weeks, nice. The holes are progressively bigger and that is awesome. The pink salt has some what lager grains mixed in with tiny ones. Seems standard for that sort of thing, this shaker fixes all that sloppy grain size problem.
