Still chuckling over FLAVOR question…no it doesn’t have a bad or a good flavor. Good I suppose cause it has none that I can detect. It worked perfectly fine to adapt a 10 pound CO2 tank to fill our old SODA CLUB yes SODA CLUB 33 ounce I think it is gas canisters. So far we can only fell about half full. For now we are going to be happy with that. For as much as we use we go through about half a cannister only a year anyway. So we have three original Soda Clubs tanks and so that means 3 years about before we need to fill them again. Hubby makes his own spirits from scratch and I buy CHEAP tonic and cola syrups I use. I spritz the water and add syrup to taste after that carefully not to over fizz. Hubby now does same where he used to add syrup to his concoction and water first and fizz it after. We did not want to run hoses from large tanks to our soda club machine like is one of the trending things to do today. Our home is not set up that way plus we tend to put our soda club machine away for winter months and only use in hot summer time. There is no one to fill our original bottles or exchange them any more here in our rural area so this gadget was exactly what we needed to do it ourselves. It may be a little expensive to set up but was told it’ll be under 20 to refill the 10 pound bottle and it’s going to last oh at least 6 years probably between fills. That could change of course if our habits change but for now…it’s the cats meow so to put it. Stay safe everyone.

The instructions seem to have been translated from Chinese with Babel Fish. After you read them a dozen times, you’ll be able to figure out what they mean. Refilling the newer style Sodastream tanks is not trivial. You’ll have to practice a couple of times before you get it right. With a cold (overnight in the freezer) tank, I managed to load 385g of CO2 (out of a declared capacity of 435g). According to the instructions, the older style tanks, the ones with thin center pin, should be easier to refill. If you don’t mind having a 5lb gas tank in the kitchen, I would recommend getting an adapter that links the tank to the sodastream machine directly. It’s easier, cheaper, and avoids inherent losses when coupling uncoupling.

Works as described. I was able to refill my sodastream cylinder with exactly 410 grams of CO2. The only negative is that it didn’t come with spare washers as shown in pictures but they are avail on Amazon.

we have the soda stream machine and after I bought and used up 2 more cans, I put the machine to the back of the pantry. I end up buying club soda every week at Grocery store until I decide to buy a 10 gallon H2O bottle and fill it myself.
The kit arrived quickly and I started to use it. I was a little worried due to some reviews on not able to fill the can, but I did the first time and no issue at all. So far, I have filled 9 soda stream cans and I believe I can use it for a long time. Highly recommend!!!!

Does exactly what its designed to do and is made from high quality components. The gauge is very helpful. Some tips I have found that might help people. The gas is under high pressure so be careful. Welding gloves or some type of insulating gloves are helpful because the container can get cold.
Get your large CO2 tank that has a siphon tube installed. This allows proper fill without turning large supply tank upside down.
When filling purge the air from the hose by attaching the hose to bottle and leaving slightly loose. Open fill valve (closest to tank) very slightly and slowly to push the air out towards the tank. This takes less than 2 seconds. While its flowing very gently tighten the fitting to the bottle.
Once tight turn the orange knob at bottle clockwise until it stops. Open fill valve very slightly and slowly and allow to fill until you no longer hear the gas flowing. You should fill to the big mark just under the green zone. You will likely never get to the green zone. Full is set by when the gas stops flowing. The gauge is there as a general indicator and you’ll see where it needs to be after a few fills.
Once full turn orange knob at small bottle counterclockwise until it stops. This seals the small bottle. Next close supply valve closest to tank. Next vent gas from hose by opening valve furthest from tank. Open this slowly and make sure your not in the way as the gas exhaust is under high pressure. Job Complete.
Many people suggest putting the small empty bottle in freezer overnight before filling. I have done it this way on all refills so far but can not yet say if it makes any difference. Will edit if I find it makes a difference either way.
Opening the supply valve slowly and only about 15-20% gets me the best results.

I bought a large 25 lb tank for my boat which works well with an adapter but I still wanted to use my 130L SodaStream tanks for my machine at home. This adapter allowed me to fill my SodaStream tanks from the larger tank. SodaStream no longer trades the 130L tanks, only the 60L ones.

If you need to refill your soda stream can from a tank this will get the job done nicely. this is for the person that does not have space to have the big tank hooked up to the soada strem. If you have counterspace and room off to the side, you should get the adapter to run the tank to the soda stream. The build quality of this is really great.

The OEM soda stream cartridge weighs 1.75 Kilo Grams full. Empty the Tare weight is .75 Kilo grams as shown in pic 2. I found that freezing the cylinder overnight helps. When you fill, hook up the bottle to the thumb wheel assembly and screw the thumb wheel clockwise to open the soda steam pin. Make sure all valves on the big tank are closed before you do this. Then open the tank valve. With the valve closest to the tank closed. Crack the small nut on the brass cylinder until you heat a small hiss. Turn the soda stream bottle upside down and lower it towards the floor. Begin filling the tank slowly until the liquid starts coming out of the small nut of the soda stream and then shut that nut and continue to fill. I never got completely to the center of the green charge valve but got a overall weight of 1.23 kilograms which is 70% full.
