Easy to use. And makes cooking grains, rice a bliss.
Wide range of grains to cook.
Love the keep warm option.
Just add the ingredients, water. Select the program and go your way. The pot does all the cooking. And it keeps it warm for quite a while.
Super convenient, bought one for my mom who is vegan, so cooking quinoa, rice , bulgur is now a bliss.

I eat rice and/or oatmeal pretty close to each day of the week, this is absolutely perfect for me. Wake up in the morning toss all the ingredients if for raisin cinnamon oatmeal, turn it on along with the coffeemaker. Jump in the shower and get prepared for work, and I have breakfast ready for me when I am finished. Toss the pot in the washing machine and when I return home from work, toss everything in for some rice and vegetables. Then switch out of my uniform and half my dinner is already finished just need to throw together some simple protein and I am fed.
With the InstaZest being so wonderful, I am saving my pennies to get the Instapot

Makes great rice. Inner pot is high quality and easy to clean. I didn’t know rice could taste this good. I really taste the individual grains and fluffliness. It beats the Hamilton Beach rice cooker I was using that was a little cheaper (like $35) supposedly non-stick but rice stuck to inside every time after cooking making cleanup a pain. No such issue here. My family uses it daily.

I waited a while to buy a rice cooker I’m happy I did this one is awesome . It’s smaller than I thought it would be but it’s perfect for my family .

I’ve used this unit 3 times now and have been pleased with the quality of white rice it cooks. It’s a great, small size (if that’s what you’re looking for, and I was), and is hassle free. Put in the dry rice, a bit more water, and anything you wish to cook in the convenient little steamer basket (such as frozen potstickers or chinese sausage), then press one button to start.
My only confusion was that it doesn’t show a timer when you press start. Instead, once it knows it’s on the end of it’s cycle, it displays an 8 minute timer, counting down to finish. Typically, it finishes cooking in about 30-40 minutes.
I put in 2 cups of dry rice and it cooked to the top of the steamer basket, so if you’re cooking more rice than that, don’t expect to be able to use the steamer.
Excellent value for the money and I’d recommend it to anyone!

The Instant Zest rice cooker is basic but adequate in its performance. I have used a couple of frankly cheap rice cooker and it’s true you get what you pay for. Those cheap cookers, no more than $25 spued, hissed, and foamed with rice sticking to the pot’s bottom. I just wasn’t going to spring for a$200 fuzzy logic rice cooker. The Instant Zest has none of the issues of the cheap rice cookers and can be purchased in the $50 to $40 range. If you have an Instant Pot it will cook rice to, but it’s much to large and difficult to clean whereas the Zest can be cleaned up with a damp sponge and takes up little space on your counter. Its features are basic , but it cooks good rice steams shrimp for fried rice and heats frozen tamales in no time.

Not sure what everyone is complaining about. Press one button and you have perfectly cooked rice. The non-stick pot is easy to clean. The water catcher / reservoir for the excess steam condensation is fine. Either people are putting in too much water to the cooker, or they’re forgetting to empty the reservoir.
I like the size of it. Doesn’t take up a ton of space. Easier to put away in a cupboard

For the past month, I’ve only used my Instant Zest for steel cut oatmeal. Compared to the stovetop, this little pot is so much more convenient and has never let me down. Once I worked out the best water-to-oats ratio it produced very consistent results. I used to take time to cook on the stovetop. If I didn’t tend the pot carefully the oatmeal would come out too thick or even cook to the bottom of the pot. Now I fill my Zest first thing in the morning, push a button and go about my morning. In 50 minutes I have perfect breakfast every time. It beeps when it is ready and keeps the oatmeal warm until you are ready. I only rated 4-stars for cleaning because the inside top plate you have to wipe with a dishrag. I wish it was as easy to remove and wash as the nonstick cooking pot. I did not rate versatility because I haven’t tried any other food in it yet.

For the price you can’t beat it. It is kind of annoying to get fully clean.
