It’s very easy to use and I haven’t had a bagel I couldn’t fit in the cutter.

When I put in bagels and pressed down, they got squished & didn’t get cut all the way through. I’ll try with different bagels & will update my review if the results are different.

Facile à utiliser

The item looks good on the counter, it’s plastic but still sturdy, only issue is it doesn’t cut the bagel, it squishes it. If you push hard enough it will cut through 90% of the bagel, but it is squished to 50% of its original size. One can do so much better with a knife. I think the ones with the knife guides would be the way to go. These don’t cut it, literally.

We normally get bagels at Costco or Sam’s Club and then refrigerate any we are not going to use right away. Although there were many reviews saying this bagel cutter didn’t cut well, we disagree. The bagels fit in very well and study pressure seems to do the job. It slows around the middle of the bagel, but, keeps on going. This is a lot easier and safer than using a knife.

What I like about this product is the fact that it actually slices through bagels. It’s actually really sturdy and what I was looking for I was not having any luck looking in stores but good old Amazon help me out. I would most definitely buy a product from this company again, this is exactly what I have been wanting for a while and once I cut my hand actually cutting a bagel I said never again. The material is very sturdy and the blade is sharp. Thank you thank you thank you.

I am returning this asap.
I can’t believe this product ever made it to the selves. We have tried it on supermarket bagels as well as fresh Manhattan bagels. At BEST it makes a nasty ragged “cut” (tear) through the bagel. In most cases it simply smashes and ruins the bagel.
The so called “blade” is serrated, but it is NOT SHARPENED. I mean not at ALL sharp. The blade was stamped out of a sheet of metal and the leading edge is flat and square to the sides. It’s like trying to cut with the back edge of a butter knife.
Read the other reviews that say they same thing before deciding. I should have. It’s too late for me, but you can still be saved.
IT. IS. TERRIBLE.
How hard is it to sharpen a blade?

I purchased this because it is larger than the one I have. It was a very hot day when I received my bagels. I found it very difficult to slice them. I don’t know if it was the heat, the bagels, or the cutter, but I had a very hard time slicing the bagels.

We gave this particular bagel slicer as a gift because we love ours so much. Safe to use. Our friends love it as much as we do.
