This microwave steamer is wonderful! The vegetables come out perfect every time. And I’ve used it on almost every vegetable, even potatoes. I do reduce the time by 30 seconds for asparagus, but other than that all veggies come out perfectly cooked. A hot rinse of the base and cover, and the basket on the top shelf of the dishwasher also makes it super easy to clean. Bought several as Christmas gifts.

Super easy to use; functional; very very small – single portion size; asparagus needs to be cut into 4 inch pieces; Brussels sprouts cut in half; great for fresh vegetables.
I have already purchased two as gifts for single grandchildren living in small apartments.

OMG! Making delicious steamed veggies has never been quicker, easier, or more convenient. So glad I bought this. If I had one wish it would be that it was larger. It’s good for about 2 servings of steamed broccoli, which is the vegetable I use it for the most.

I’m absolutely thrilled that I made this purchase. I want to lose some weight and I’m sure that substituting roast chicken with steamed vegetables is one way that will happen. I disagree with the person who gave a poor review because you can’t fit asparagus in this item. I don’t believe anyone eats asparagus by putting a whole stem in your mouth. It won’t fit there either. Cut the stems in half before steaming and you will have no problem at all.
The base has a ffill line so you know how much water to add. I believe everybody would agree that microwave ovens are not all the same.
I think a person could adjust the amount of water that’s added and/or change the amount of time from what is recommended by the instructions.
According to how much power the microwave oven has these adjustments will make the cooking process easier. In addition the end result will be much closer to perfect in line with the consumers taste preference.

I’m using this for prepping homemade baby food that requires steaming throughly and this little triangle does just that. what would normally take up to an hour now takes me 15 minutes tops my only complaints, I wish it came in different colors like grey or black and because the basket is white it does stain fairly easy I’ve had to steam carrots and sweet potatoes so far both stained the white steamer basket however it did clean up after a little soak and did not effect over all usage I would highly recommend this if you like steamed veggies or like me are making baby food that usually requires pots, hot metal space consuming steamers,lots of water,lots of time,and additional clean up this gets rid of all of that and handles the task in 5 minutes or less!

The first time using this, I was disappointed. I made broccoli and it came out “squeaky”. Decided to give it another go to make broccoli seasoned with Old Bay and add thirty seconds onto the cook time and it came out amazing. My daughter (picky eater) liked it with the seasoning and ate so much that I had to whip up another batch. Which was easy least despite not having the pot of hot water still on the stove! You won’t regret buying this. Also, if you are cooking in batches, you don’t have to do the additional thirty seconds because the water is already boiling. So convenient to not have to wait for something else to finish cooking when my microwave is empty.

This is such a quick and easy to use steamer. You can make veggies on the crunchier or softer side easily with the amount of time you put it in for.

If you have a microwave over your range, it’s tricky to lift it out because it’s extremely hot. It was awkward to lift up with a tea towel – nothing to grab onto – the sides are very smooth, almost slippery. Not safe for someone sitting in a wheelchair and taking it out of a microwave on the counter either.
Small – only good for one or two servings of veggies.
