I have 6″ gutters and have wanted gutter guards/covers installed for years. Finally pulled the trigger after realizing the cost of someone doing it was terribly out of the range I wished to spend.My gutters bother me twice a year. Once in spring, after the helicopters and those stringy oak things that come raining down from everyone else’s trees, then in the late late fall due to all the leaves.After reviewing so many utube vids and amazon reviews, I picked these to go with. I first ordered a sample pack and made certain the 6″ sample would fit my gutters.I ordered 200 feet and the package delivered by UPS was a bit battered. I had a couple bent guards, but they are easily bent back into shape, so no big deal there. There was also a deal going on with a couple screw packs that would save me 8 bucks. Glad I did it.Don’t expect your roof to look like all the pics in the reviews. Don’t expect the drip edge to be exact in every spot. Don’t expect the gutter guard to be “perfect” in every spot. I did my danged best to get them straight as I could, but I could only install on top of the drip edge in the back of my house. The rest of the house it wasn’t possible. They did go nicely behind the drip edge and I put a couple support screws on the back here and there as necessary.Some spots didn’t have enough “hanger support” holding up the gutter guard. That’s where I had small dips in a couple spots. I’m not going to worry too much about it though. I spent two weekends putting these things on, primarily because I was perplexed by how hard it had become to get the guards to install in front of the edge, a bad shoulder, and the blazing hot sun. But, it’s finished now. If all I have to do this fall/spring is wipe the guards off with an extension pole and a wiper of sorts, I’ll be happy. No ladder.I’ll update the review after I find out how well they work. Also, DO wear some gloves for hand protection. Have some good tin snips and if you have a Dremel with a cutting wheel, use it! Naproxen for the knees may help for you older people going up and down the ladder.

I had these installed by a handyman for $500 labor, plus the cost of the guard…so a pretty good value. They look terrific. Not noticeable from the ground and clean looking from my upstairs windows. I haven’t experienced a true fall deluge of leaves yet (but I’m hopeful they do the trick). The one problem with these so far is those little maple tree helicopters and oak tree pollen are so small that they sit on top of the guard. But, the good news is the rain still collects in the gutters and these little pieces of debris don’t seems to affect the performance…however it looks terrible from my upstairs windows. Therefore, I still need to get up on a ladder to wash this stuff off as the rain doesn’t do it.

Installed 50′ on existing 6″ wide gutter system. Had to slightly modify the installation as my house is only 75′ from the Banana River, facing East [where most Florida Hurricanes come from]. Recorded [before my anemometer shattered], just over 100MPH across my house (Hurricane Erma). Anything not bolted/screwed down is ripped off. I added one screw per panel to the drip edge/flashing to prevent any movement, along with the screws securing the outer edge along the gutter lip. Will write an Edit once another hurricane has passed over my house this year.

About a year ago…I hired “professionals” to install new guttering on my house. They put them up in just a couple of hours….problem was they did not install them correctly! ( downspout higher than the rest of the gutter…so water would stand in the gutter constantly…add leaves and I basically had a manmade “swamp” hanging from the roof of my house!So…to eliminate this problem….I got up on a ladder myself….cleaned out the “muck” that was in the gutter, then rehung the gutters correctly…and installed the A-M gutter guards. Now when it rains the water goes down the downspout and leaves are no longer an issue!Great product, very easy to install….would recommend to anyone with even a modest amount of “handyman skills”!

Great tech support to answer questions. Samples allow you to make a decision before buying. I uses a hose to test and water went into the gutter and not over the side. I will be ordering both 5 and 6 inch.

I bought 200′ of the 5″ gutter guards, we have 140ish feet of gutters, they are 4′ long and well made.Simply place them on your gutter, the flat flange goes to the outside, use the 1/4″ self tapping Stainless steel screws, there are holes already drilled in the guards, I put 3 in a section, they butt up against each other and overlap just a bit with the built in portion on the end. It took me longer to move the man lift we rented than to install these. You may need tin snips for the last piece . I would buy these again but I hope to never rent that man lift again. ……but that is another story.

I ordered the sample kit to try it out. It went on the gutter just as easy and simple as advertised. After seeing that, I ordered enough for the whole house. Had 170ft installed in about 2 hours. The biggest pain was going up and down the ladder. Lol. Finally had a hood rain to try it out and worked perfectly. Extremely happy w the product

Good Product
This is a very good product. I installed 50 feet of A-M Gutter Guard myself – with 2 outside corners and 2 inside corners – in about an hour and a half. Installed well on my existing eaves trough that is installed with spikes and ferrules. I used A-M’s stainless steel ‘zip screws’ for the install (also available on Amazon).
