Excellent fun and photography with the Phantom 4 Pro+ v2.0
It’s my first drone, and I’ve flown for short periods over the last 3-4 days and it’s a blast.
It’s a little intimidating at first, but this baby is easy to fly and avoids most obstacles – won’t even allow you to proceed if something is in the path ahead (within a few feet of course) depending on what flying mode you are using. (no avoidance in “sport” mode)
I was glad to purchase an extra battery and lens filters (the UV is very helpful)
I bought the $24 camo green bag cover, but I don’t really like it… doesn’t cover all sides. (isn’t that weird?)
I was a little worried with a vulture circling my drone… deciding what the hell is this thing and should I attack it. (lol)
The aerial views are stunning – except when I saw but didn’t realize my roof is so freakin’ ugly with black fungus crap on it.
You’re gonna have fun with this drone, I promise, and it’s worth the extra money to gain better features like a 4K camera shooting at 60fps, a 4.3 mile run time on a single charge, obstacle avoidance plus infrared sensing, auto return to home function, and the list goes on. You get what you pay for so don’t settle for less and regret it later.

When I bought this drone I intended to learn it well before taking it up. When I finally unboxed it several months had passed. I watched many tutorials and read materials to make sure I was familiar with the system. It seemed very straightforward. I unboxed and prepared everything for charging. The drone battery charged without issue. The remote controller, however, will not charge. It blinks one white light no matter how long it’s plugged in. If I turn it on, there is one red light and one white light. Now that I’ve done some research I see the many people have had this issue. If I want to replace or repair it, I have to send to DJI and possibly pay a couple hundred dollars for something I never even got to use. It’s very frustrating and upsetting.
Update:
I submitted a claim to DJI and explained everything, and they had me mail it to them and charged me about $69. They sent me a new controller and charging cord that seem to be working fine now. I will likely update this review once I’ve had some more use out of the drone.

As you can see by my stars, this is not a toy and its not easy to learn. I would recommend it as an upgrade to someone who has already cut their teeth on another drone. Frankly, I have had it for awhile now and I am still learning all it features. One thing that impresses my and everyone who see video or still is the resolution and quality of the camera. This thing takes awesome footage and stills. Its also pretty tough as I have crashed it a few times in the process of learning and am about due for new props. I use it to fly over woods in search of historical items, bridges, homesteads and the like. Works really well for this and helps me to determine where I can search in person if it turns something up. Nice piece of gear.

Really well made drone with excellent features, fantastic photos and videos.

Purchased this as my first drone purchase because of all the safety features and obstacles avoidance systems. Not disappointed, have yet to crash it and I am gradually “turning off” the safety features. Picture quality is spectacular and its abilities in high winds are shocking.

This drone flys almost everyday and gets great results every time. 4k video is sharp and smooth and the quality exceeds my client’s expectations.

we paid over $2k for the “DJI Phantom 4 Pro Plus V2.0 – Drone Quadcopter UAV with 20MP Camera 1″ CMOS Sensor 4K H.265 Video 3-Axis Gimbal, Remote Controller with 5.5″ Screen, White”. When it arrived today, the manufacturer’s box had return labels cut off it from a previous return and it had been taped back shut. I opened it, removed the drone and case. Opened the case, and there were plastic wrappers all over inside from someone else who had previously opened it and then returned it. THEN, I noticed the controller didn’t even have the 5.5″ screen on it, which we paid the more expensive price for! Return has been started and we will buy from somewhere else.

Easy-to-use out of the box.
