I was very reluctant to purchase this for my 66 yr old brother with dementia. I thought he would feel insulted. To my surprise he wasn’t. He struggles a little with this but it does at least help him engage.

My daughter loves Melissa and Doug toys but this one seemed to have a minor problem that I know would’ve frustrated my daughter. Made a video review so I could help anyone else who was loving the toy but frustrated with the constant falling out of the top piece. Basically, I concocted a latch on either side that allows me to keep the lid from coming off when my daughter is using it then flipping the pieces back to take the lid off to get the shapes out. Hope this helps! P.S. the materials I used were from Hobby Lobby in the craft wood aisle.

I love that it’s small and it’s perfect for my 1 year old. I’m trying to teach her shapes and colors and it’s perfect

Purchased this for my Grandson (2) in July. He has mastered a few of the shapes already and seems to continues to be interested in mastering more of the shapes. It’s a very made, pieces are colorful and he has had a lot of fun playing with it.

My LO is 19MO and I was looking for a challenging sorter, as the ones marked for 12-18MO are too easy for my LO and losses interest quickly. And this is for 2yrs old, and I seat down with her, and help her find the shapes. For the easier shapes she able to find them by herself.
