Just finished my first batch of Jerky with this product. Very, very satisfied. As with any appliance there is a learning curve.
Here are a few observations after my first use:
1. DO NOT RELY on the suggested drying times in the manual. The suggested drying time in the manual for my jerky was 6 hours. It was finished in 3 and 1/2 hours. The drying times actually depend on the thickness of the food, so if all the food is not the same thickness the drying time will vary. Start with less time and check the food. You can always remove the thinner food and put the rest back in and dry it a little longer. Just a suggestion, I would start with half the suggested drying time in the manual and go from there.
2. The plastic tray can be placed in the bottom of the dehydrator with all 6 grates installed so as to collect any spills and drips. The plastic tray and mesh plastic IS NOT dishwasher safe. The stainless mesh grates are dishwasher safe.
3. Be careful when you put the grates in the dehydrator. Put them in with the mesh side UP. This prevents scratching the inside slot of the dehydrator. This is mentioned in the manual but can be easily overlooked.
4. READ AND HEADE “The Tips From the Chef ‘ in the beginning of the manual.
Construction is excellent. Intuitive to use. Easy to clean, be sure to leave space around the food and keep it from the edges of the grates. This keeps food and liquids from getting in the grate slots.
If I had one request it would be that it would be nice to have a light inside.
ENJOY!

I have used it to dry many types of fruits and vegetables ( I plan on trying meat soon) I can load the trays in a consistent manner, I don’t have to work around a central hole. The dehydrator only came with one fruit roll tray and one fine screen tray, I wish it came with more. My only real mistake was not ordering the larger model, I purchased the 6 rack model but should have gotten the 10 rack model.

Haven’t used the device. That said, 2 things ruin this from going above 1 star.
1. The fact it only offers 1 solid screen + 1 drain screen, despite being a 6 tray dehydrator. I don’t care about other dehydrators and what they offer. A device designed for 12 slot possibilities should never come with just 2. Plus it’s completely lopsided if you decide to invest in more trays. They are 10-11 bucks each but come in packs of 2, meaning you will have an extra if you decide to invest (sneaky tactic from Cosori).
2. The fact its recipe book is full of meat-based recipes, which is personally disturbing. To me animal products are no different than bestiality and other crimes against animals. For instance, imagine you wanted to buy a cane off Amazon as an old man, and with the cane comes a book filled with ways to abuse children with such a cane. That’s just how I see it logically, and it’s distasteful to me personally.
These 2 reasons I could overlook to buy the product, knowing the climate we live in (all dehydrators have this cheap scheme it seems, and most of the world subscribes to animal abuse, so what am I to do. Still not acceptable in my personal opinion, but this is the lesser of evils in terms of dehydrator reviews).
I’ll update further down the road if there’s any quality issues. For now I’ve outlined what criticisms I have for the company to check out.
Update 1: The drip tray is too small and sometimes I’ll find mango juice slips not only down the cracks but all over the countertop. This can be prevented by putting less mango and keeping it all close to the center, but I think this is a pretty poor design, especially when liquid can spill out.

I got this device on Saturday (3 days ago). The instructions tell you to clean it, and then plug it in and run it once for 30 minutes empty, which I did (and it worked fine!). Today I prepared trays of food to dehydrate, followed all of the instructions the same way I’d done when it was empty, and it won’t start. The screen turns on and displays the standby –:– message, but it won’t do any other functions. I tried to call the customer support number they provide in the manual, and the automated message says that customer support is no longer available by phone and I’ll have to email. I emailed, and got an automated response telling me someone will get back to me in 2 business days – obviously all the food I prepared for dehydrating is wasted.
Update: Customer service did get back to me and issued a refund via an Amazon gift card. Alternatively they would have shipped me a new product but they quoted me about 3 weeks to get it, so I took the gift card and bought a new one myself. It took about 2 weeks from when the first one broke until I got a new one myself. The second one seems to be working so far – while I don’t like that I don’t really trust it to last because of my previous experience, I do appreciate that the company did make it right.

I purchased this Cosori Food Dehydrator to replace a Gardenmaster that arrived defective and obviously used. So glad I did! It arrived at the end of the gardening season and I was able to dry the remainder of my tomatoes, basil, tarragon and a couple of other herbs. It did an excellent job and was so quiet. My last dehydrator had to be used in the basement because it sounded like a 757 landing at the airport! This one could easily be used on a counter in the kitchen. (I don’t have enough space, but would if I did.). So far, it is exactly what I wanted in a dehydrator and highly recommend.

We received this item on the 23 Oct, we started using it the next day after reading the user manual. My wife was very exited to start Dehydrating some fruits we just bought specifically for that purpose. Last Friday Dec 4 the Dyhydrator stop working suddenly for no reason.
Looking at the user manual again they mention it may be cause by overheating and to call Customer Support. There is no CB or reset bottom, so I don’t know what they can tell me that will fix the problem???
Little disappointed since my wife was so exited about drying some product in that machine.
Hope they have good answer on the reason “Why” it stop working after only 2 months.

I have been increasing my prepping stores and dehydrating with my Air-fryer which kept it tied up for regular cooking use. So I finally saved up to purchase this Cosori Dehydrator. I love it! They trys are so much bigger than my Air-fryer and the temperature is consistent. I have been run it several times a week drying fruits, veggies, ready to eat meals and jerky. If I had enough room I would get another one.

This wonderful machine does everything it is designed to do and more. Not only do I use it to dry foods and make yogurt, but I discovered it can be used as a safe space heater too. My cat can not be trusted alone in the same room with the Christmas tree, so I shut him in the kitchen over night for 3 weeks every year. The kitchen was an addition to an unheated summer cabin 60 years ago and even after recent improvements, it is still cold in there. I bought a highly recommended space heater on Amazon, but it started making squealing noises after a short use. It was just more plastic junk, so I returned it. I never feel safe leaving those things unattended anyway and I’m not going to turn the oven on all night either. What to do? Cosori to the rescue. The big stainless box warms up and takes the chill off. It is safe to run and I love it more than any appliance I have ever bought, including my cars.

For years I made dog jerky and other things in those cheap little round dehydrators with the plastic trays and small fan. Well now I realize just how much time I wasted after buying this dehydrator. I put some chicken for jerky in last night and this morning it was perfect. It didn’t shrink and made a whole container full. So today I’m dehydrating apple slices and veggies. I am so very happy with this purchase. And I love the recipe book that comes with it! You won’t regret buying it.

This is a fantastic kitchen tool that works like a dream. I’ve had it for over a year and have made jerky, dried fruits and veggies, and am about to embark on my first try at yogurt. Some features that make this exceptional-
1) Waffle weave stainless racks! Even sticky food like jerky release easily. I never have to worry about cracks or absorbed odors. My food isn’t sitting on hot plastic for hours and hours. Plus the strength of steel means the racks can be thin, so less space is taken by the racks themselves, leaving more room for food.
2) Extremely easy to set. Just a few touches, and it’s going. Easy to add time or adjust temperature at any point.
3) So quiet! I was worried about anything “going” in the kitchen for so many hours, but no problem.
4) Easy to clean- The removable bottom tray catches any drips, so nothing bakes onto the floor of the unit, and the racks can just go in the dishwasher.
