10/10 if you have a light over a tableWe had smart switches through most of our home but the one for our dining room just wasn’t dimming enough so we switched to these and I’m so glad that we did! These are the perfect dimmable bulbs for a light that’s open above a table!

Beautiful looking bulbs with seamless integration to my Hue bulb family!I have been a longtime fan of Philips Hue ever since I could purchase them! I have around 10 Hue bulbs in my apartment that are integrated with my Google Home family. I liked the look of these bulbs for the kitchen (also because my partner liked the look of them) and was overjoyed when I discovered these! These are fantastic bulbs that do exactly as described. Great quality as well. Was surprised to find out these specifically have a glass/glass-composite shell compared to the plastic on the others, but this was a welcome surprise. Lighting looks really cool with the candle-light effect as well.I only have two complaints. 1) The bulbs struggle to output a true blue-white tone. Anytime I change it in the app to this, it instantly reverts back to true white. Not a huge disappointment considering I don’t use blue-white often, but would’ve been nice to have. 2) There is no multicolor variant. I know these are supposed to resemble Edison bulbs, but it would’ve been neat (and convenient) to have the full RGB spectrum to choose for the bulbs.I consider Philips Hue to be a trusted and consistent brand. I love their products and support team. They have a lot of variety with products which is something I absolutely respect. I just wish it wasn’t all so expensive. Fantastic product and extremely satisfied!

Great Hue bulbs. They dim very wellGreat bulbs. Work great with Hue app. They are fully dimmable and programmable thru the app. You cannot change bulb color temperature, only dimming level.

Fantastic Edison-style Smart Bulbs – highly underrated! We have a set of ceramic a accent lamps that have always loved, but due to the large abstract pattern, most regular bulbs were too bright and looked terrible. The lamps were hard to look at with other bulbs as they were too harsh, unless you used a very small bulb (which looked terrible) – and I was always annoyed with the rotary light switch the lamps had. I realized I needed a stylish bulb that I could easily adjust for different lighting situations, and bypass the annoying rotary switch as well. Smart bulbs were the obvious choice, but most are not very stylish and are more function over form. I did a search, and found these…and they were absolutely perfect. They give off a nice warm yellow glow (not the bright white LED nightmare some bulbs give you). We do already have a hue bridge, so it’s convenient that it can be added and used in scenes (I created one for the evening to adjust the brightness to a lower level and really give the bulb a nice ambiance) and with automations, I set them to come on and turn off at certain times. You can use the manual controls to set or adjust it, but it also is voice controllable with Alexa, which is great if you want to easily and quickly ask it to change to a lower or higher lighting level/percentage. This took a bit of time to work correctly via voice control for some reason, but after a day or so it fell into line and worked just like our other hue bulbs with our voice commands…so be aware the voice command feature through alexa to lower/brighten the bulb may not work right away- even if it is set up correctly through the Alexa app itself. You can also set up similar actions/automations directly through the Alexa app, but the hue app interfaces just fine in my opinion. These bulbs are a good size, being tall enough to look nice in the lamps, and are fairly stylish and easy to use and control. Definitely worth the purchase! The photos I attached show how the bulbs look really nice in the lamps, and are super easy to use. Now, if only they would launch Alexa enabled AA/AAA batteries (for string lights) and enabled button cell batteries (for candles), my living room would REALLY look amazing. Please, someone, invent tlhe dang smart batteries already!!

The Filament is a little too brightI used this to replace a decorative bulb in a desk Lamp that was a traditional Edison style curly filament. That bulb did not blow out my vision, but this bulb does, even on the dimmer and warmer settings. Outside of this issue, The bulb works and integrates really well.

Gentler light than other Phillips Hue bulbs. We have lots of Phillip Hue Bulbs. I traded out one of our lights, and our old bulb was too strong for the new fixture. I grabbed this one hoping that it would be a nice gentle light. It’s great. It’s a lot more yellow than the previous light, but in all other respects, it’s working perfectly. Hue bulbs are my preferred connected lightbulb simply because they are nearly error proof.

They look great, but are super expensiveThese give off a great warm light and maintain a good connection through walls, but man they were expensive. I had to get four of them.Tons of compliments on these.

I love Hue bulbs, but mine stopped working after a month of useFirst of all, Hue is my favorite brand of smart bulb and I’ve tried them all. Don’t let this review stop you from buying one. I’ve have at least 50 Hue bulbs and I’ve only had problems with 2 total including this one, and I’ve had most of my bulbs for 3+ years. So they are awesome, usually. This was a 2 bulb set. The other bulb is working fine, the problematic one has a manufacturing defect that makes it lose contact with the light socket. I thought the socket was the problem, but it works fine with the other bulb. Unfortunately I don’t have the option to return so I’ll have to buy another one
